In The City of New York,
In The City - the UK Music Industry Convention co-founded by Yvette Livesey and Factory Records' controversial boss, Anthony Wilson - hosts a very special one day event examining the 'special relationship' between the US and UK music industry.
Highlights include In The City's celebrity interview with Island Def
Jam's Lyor Cohen. An inspired and inspirational speaker at ITC 2002
Cohen is the perfect keynote interview for ITC's inaugural New York
visit. He turned us all on to Daniel Bedingfield last time. That's how persuasive he is.
And as if 3,000 miles of Ocean wasn't enough, daytime discussion panels will explore the cultural divisions, bonds and boundaries that help or hinder that 'Special Relationship'.
Delegates will also get a chance to eavesdrop on boardroom discussions as label bosses go toe to toe with their artists in 'Digital Deathwish'; the legendary In The City hypothetical.
Panellists include,
Tom Silverman (CEO Tommy Boy)
and representatives from BPI, MRIB, Musikube, PPL, World's End, Girlie Action and many more.
Oh and be sure that there's room in your wallet to receive a big cheque as PPL reveal all about their 'royalties reunited' scheme.
Open to all involved in the business of music - In The City of New York is your chance to hang, chill & converse with your fellow music lovers either side of the pond. and all this for only a hundred quid.
