LMMF Training, in association with MMF US, presented the first professional
management development program in New York: "Artist Management in
2007 and Beyond". MMF Training is the business support division
of the Music Managers Forum - the trade association for artist managers
in the music industry, with chapters in 15 countries throughout the world.
MMF Training has delivered practical business support sessions for over
a decade in Europe. January 10th and 11th, 2007 represented the first
event in New York and the two consecutive evening programs were a smashing
success…here are the details:

and Marty Diamond of Little Big Man/Paradigm. Joining the booking agents
were Andy Karp, the newly appointed A&R head of Atlantic Records,
and longtime industry veteran turned charity-giver/developer Paul
Katz of Commit Media, who both have years of label-side experience to impart
to the audience, while all staying late to meet face-to-face with attendees
after the panels.

Ditsky and a wealth of real-world producer-manager experiences from longtime

Given the smashing success and capacity crowd
in attendance at this first MMF Training, MMF-US will announce additional
trainings in New York City which will continue to include more leaders
in today’s
music industry speaking in intimate and interactive settings with MMF
members. MMF Members were only charged fees of $50 (covered both nights),
while AFTRA, AFM, AIMP, A2IM, MPA, NARIP, NMPA, RIAA members were charged
$75 (covered both nights), and non-members were charged $100 (covered
both nights).
MMF-US thanks its subcommittee members including Barry Bergman,
Perry Resnick, Michael Hausman and Alan Wolmark, with additional thanks
to the hard work conducted by Stuart Worthington, Angela Renshaw and
staff at MMF Training, PLUS all the excellent panelists who dedicated
their evening to sharing their knowledge and experience with all the
managers and lawyers in the audience. Of course, additional big thanks
