MMF-US Nashville Chapter & NSAI Present: AI and the Future of Creativity
Date: Monday, November 10
Time: 11:00 AM–12:00 PM CT
Location: NSAI, The Music Mill, 1710 Roy Acuff Place, Nashville, TN 37203 (MAP)
Presented by the Music Managers Forum-US (MMF-US) Nashville Chapter and the National Songwriters Association International (NSAI), this dynamic panel explores how artificial intelligence is transforming the music industry — from songwriting and production to how artists’ voices and likenesses are used.
The conversation will trace the origins of AI and how its rapid evolution has raised urgent questions around ownership, authorship, and fair use. Panelists will unpack key developments, including the ELVIS Act, which expands protections for artists against unauthorized digital replicas, as well as current proposed legislation shaping the future of creative rights. Together, we’ll examine where innovation meets infringement — and how the industry can protect human creativity while embracing technological progress.
Moderator: Tom Burger (TAB Music Management, Chair – MMF-US Nashville Chapter)
Speakers: Barton Herbison, Executive Director of NSAI • Jennifer Turnbow, COO of NSAI
Attendance is limited to 45 guests, so we encourage early registration — and ask that you only register if you plan to attend, to ensure space is available for others.
